M'sia sees spike in cancer cases in 2012-2016 period, says report


KUALA LUMPUR: An increase in new cancer cases has been reported in the latest National Cancer Registry Report 2012–2016 (MNCRR).

It revealed that there were 115,238 new cases reported in the five-year period of 2012-2016, compared with 103,507 cases for the period 2007 to 2011, with incidence rate (age standardised incidence rate) of 86 cases for every 100,000 male population and 102 cases for every female population.
