Woman claims trial to graft and cheating charges


KUALA LUMPUR: A former staff in the office of a deputy secretary-general in the Finance Ministry claimed trial to three counts of corruption and two alternative counts of cheating related to the sale of a government property in Hong Kong in 2018.

Rohaya Sabot, 39, pleaded not guilty after the five charges were read in front of judge Azman Ahmad at the Sessions Court here yesterday.For corruption, Rohaya was charged under Section 16 (a)(B) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act.
