2,926 FT cabbies benefit from YWP programme

KUALA LUMPUR: Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan (YWP) has helped to pay more than RM200,000 to the Self-Employment Social Security Scheme for 2,926 taxi drivers based in the Federal Territory.

Federal Territories Minister and YWP chairman Khalid Abdul Samad said YWP collaborated with Social Security Organisation (Socso) and the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) to implement the programme to help taxi drivers to contribute to Socso.
