Chronology of Irish girl's disappearance

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Below is the chronology of the disappearance of the 15-year-old Irish girl, Nora Anne Quoirin, from a resort near Seremban, Negeri Sembilan:

Aug 3, 2019: Arrives with her family at The Dusun resort, near Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, for a vacation.

Aug 4, 2019: The family of the teen girl with a learning disability realises at about 8am that she is not in her room.

Aug 4, 2019: Police receive information about the girl’s disappearance from the resort owner after being informed by her family.

Aug 4, 2019: Police launch a search-and-rescue (SAR) operation involving the Fire and Rescue Department and police personnel from the K9 Tracker Dog Unit of the Negri Sembilan Contingent Police Headquarters.

Aug 5, 2019: Authorities, including police and Rela, cordon off the resort where Nora Anne was reported missing.

Aug 5, 2019: The police’s air unit is mobilised in the search for Nora.

Aug 5, 2019: Aerial SAR surveillance is carried out in the area of Gunung Berembun and along the banks of Sungai Berembun.

Aug 5, 2019: A platoon from the 4th Battalion of General Operations Force (GOF) in Cheras is deployed in the search of the Irish teenager.

Aug 5, 2019: Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop rules out abduction in Nora's disappearance. The case is classified under missing person.

Aug 6, 2019: The SAR operation enters its third day involving 159 members from various agencies.

Aug 6, 2019: Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin calls on the public to stop making speculations over Nora's disappearance.
