Body found stuffed in blue suitcase in Pandan Indah alley

KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a man believed to have been murdered and stuffed in a blue suitcase was discovered near a palm oil trading outlet in Pandan Indah.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Noor Azmi Yusoff said police received a call on the matter at 8.52am on Tuesday (Aug 6).

"A passer-by noticed the bag in an alley near the shoplot, saw a pair of feet sticking out of it and immediately called the police.

"Our personnel arrived at the scene and found the bag containing the body of a male bound in blue wire.

"There were no signs of a struggle in the area where the body was found, " he said on Tuesday (Aug 6).

He added that the body was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur where a post-mortem was conducted.

"The cause of death was revealed to be strangulation.

"There were also bruises found on the front and back of the victim, as well as strangulation marks under the chin and left neck, " he said, adding that the identity of the victim was still under investigation.

He said the case has been classified as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
