Johor’s newest royal is named Tunku Abu Bakar Ibrahim

JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor’s latest bundle of joy has been named Tunku Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail.

Johor Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar with the concurrence of the council of royal cour, had consented to the name.

Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim’s wife Che’ Puan Khaleeda Bustamam gave birth to their third child, a son, on July 17.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Tunku Ismail uploaded a picture of himself and Che’ Puan Khaleeda with their newborn baby boy.

“Alhamdulilah. Che’ Puan Khaleeda safely delivered a prince,” he said.

This is the couple’s third child after Tunku Khalsom Aminah Sofiah Ibni Tunku Ismail was born on June 25, 2015.

Their second child – Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim Ibni Tunku Ismail – was born on Oct 14, 2017.

Sultan Ibrahim appointed Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil as Raja Muda Johor during the state Ruler’s 60th birthday celebrations last year.

Tunku Ismail, 35, and Che’ Puan Khaleeda, 27, were married at Istana Bukit Serene on Oct 24, 2014.
