PORT DICKSON: After receiving overwhelming support as PKR president at the party's retreat in Port Dickson, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he is prepared to work with Datuk Seri Azmin Ali as a team.

"Azmin is the deputy president. We need to work as a team (and hold) regular meetings and discussions.

"There is no problem, it is still a team," he told reporters after the party's three-day-long retreat here on Sunday (July 21).

It was reported that Azmin had taken note of Anwar's acceptance of a police investigation into the gay sex video controversy.

"After looking at Anwar's full statement, I acknowledge his stand that he has accepted findings of the investigation announced by the IGP that cleared me of any involvement in the defamatory video," he tweeted on Saturday (July 20).

The retreat also concluded with a resolution to fully support Anwar as the party president and to lead and direct PKR as the main party within Pakatan Harapan, in line with the party constitution.

Some 120 out of 140 PKR elected representatives have signed the resolution.
