PETALING JAYA: There will be water disruption in some parts of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya next Tuesday, says Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas).
Details on the specific areas that would be affected and how long the water disruption is expected to last will be revealed during a press conference at 2pm on Tuesday (July 16).
Syabas said the reason for the cut in water supply was because Air Selangor would be conducting improvement works at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP).
This is expected to commence from 9am on July 23 to improve the efficiency of the water supply system to customers in the three areas.
"Due to the total plant shutdown, there will be a scheduled water supply interruption in some parts of Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor.
"Interruption and supply restoration period will vary from one area to another depending on the geographical location and altitude of customers' premises," the company said in a statement.
For latest information on the water disruption, consumers are advised to refer to Air Selangor mobile application or visit their website at www.syabas.com.my.
Customers can also contact Syabas at its call centre at 15300 or via WhatsApp at 019-2800919 or 019-2816793.
