Teen found drowned at Bagan Lalang beach


PUTRAJAYA: A teenage boy was found drowned at Pantai Bagan Lalang in Tanjong Sepat, Sepang after he was believed to have gone missing while swimming with his friends on Sunday (May 31) afternoon.

Selangor senior fire officer II Mohamad Issmanto Md Pono said the body of Mohd Akhil Zamani Sanusi, 17, was found about 300m from the shore, which is 10m from the location where he was reported missing.

The victim is believed to have drowned while swimming at the beach with his friends at around 3.10pm.

"The victim was found at 6.50pm by the Water Rescue Team unit using the diving method (unsurface)," he said in a statement Sunday.

Mohamad Issmanto said that Health Ministry officials confirmed the victim's death before the body was handed over to the police for further action. - Bernama
