KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) on Friday (June 28) announced the interdepartmental transfers and promotion of six of its senior officers, effective July 29.
PDRM Corporate Communications head Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said it involved Johor Deputy Police chief DCP Datuk Mohd Kamarudin Md Din who has been promoted as Johor Police chief with the rank of acting Commissioner of Police (CP).
Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department deputy director (Operations) DCP Datuk Dev Kumar has been transferred to replace Deputy Police Commissioner of Sarawak DCP Datuk Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim who has been made Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Forensic/Databank/DNA/Strategic Planning deputy director.
Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police (Research and Development) (Strategic Planning) Secretariat deputy chief, DCP Datuk Muhammad Azlee Abdullah will take Dev Kumar's place as Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department deputy director (Operations), she said in a statement.
Asmawati said Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director (Operations) DCP Datuk Fisol Salleh will assume the post of Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director (Special Action Unit) and Hulu Selangor Police chief Supt Lim Bak Phai has been appointed as Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief with the rank of acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). - Bernama
