Azmin's aide Hilman to be quizzed by cops on Monday (June 17)

PETALING JAYA: Deputy PKR Youth chief Hilman Idham will be grilled by the police over the sex scandal video allegedly implicating Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, 27.

“I will give my statement at the Sepang district police headquarters this Monday (June 17) at 10am.

“This is in connection with the police report I lodged in response to Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz’s fake report,” he told The Star on June 15 (Saturday).

Last Friday (June 14), Hilman lodged a police report at the Putrajaya district police headquarters, claiming that Haziq made a false report, which he said was criminal accusation.

According to Hilman, Haziq told him that he was being used as a pawn to bring down Azmin.

Hilman, who’s also Azmin’t political secretary, admitted that he met Haziq at the Zst Restaurant at Marriot Putrajaya on June 11 before the videos were leaked, but declined to reveal details of the meeting.

On Friday (June 14), Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed confirmed that Haziq had been arrested at the international departure hall of the KLIA, where he was scheduled to fly to Manila, the Phillipines.

Haziq, who’s at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a medical examination, is expected to be released on bail later on Saturday (June 15).

He is being investigated under four charges, which includes Section 292 (sale of obscene material), 504 (intent to provoke breach of peace) and 377B (carnal intercourse against nature) of the Penal Code, as well as Section 233 Multimedia and Communication Act 1998
