PETALING JAYA: Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz has lodged a police report after receiving flak from netizens for admitting that he was the other man in a sex video implicating Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
On Facebook, Haziq, 27, posted two blurry pictures of the police report with the accompanying caption: "You can call me anything you want but I was never raised a liar."
The police report was lodged at the Kelana Jaya police station. However, the time and date of the police report cannot be discerned.
"The reason why I made this police report is to rebut all the allegations made by netizens, cybertroopers, Hilman Idham and others," he stated in the report.
He also expressed concerns for his safety.
Hilman is Azmin's political secretary, who had lodged a police and a qazaf report against Haziq in Putrajaya on Thursday (June 13).
In the police report, he also reiterated his earlier claims that Hilman had forced him to deny his presence in the sex video when they met at a restaurant in a five-star hotel in Putrajaya.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat confirmed that the police report was made on Thursday (June 13).
Hilman, in response to Haziq's earlier claim, admitted that the meeting took place, but he declined to reveal its nature.
On Wednesday (June 12), Haziq admitted that he was the other individual seen in a sex video, which has been making its rounds on social media and WhatsApp.
Haziq is also the senior private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.
He has since been suspended by the ministry and was given three days to respond to a show-cause letter.
He claimed that the video was taken without his permission on May 11 during the Sandakan by-election in his room at Hotel Four Points.
Azmin, in denying his involvement in the sex video, had said people should not resort to cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage.
