RM70,000 in fireworks seized near Thai border

ALOR SETAR: A man was arrested while 36 boxes of firecrackers and fireworks worth RM70,000 were seized at a fishermen’s landing area in Tasik Ah Ning, Padang Sanai near Padang Terap at the Malaysia-Thai border.

Padang Terap district police chief Deputy Supt Noh Idris said the seizure was carried out when a black 4WD vehicle, parked by the lake, was spotted at about 11am on Saturday.
