Aliff Aziz, Bella Astillah officially divorced

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer and actor Aliff Aziz is officially divorced from his wife, Bella Astillah.

The 28-year-old Singaporean, who could not control his tears, made the "talak satu" proclamation at the lower Syarie court here Thursday (May 16).

The court also ordered Aliff, whose full name is Mohamad Aliff Aziz, to pay RM1,000 monthly, starting this month in nafkah (maintenance) for his two-year-old son.

During the proceedings, Syarie judge Izzat Syazli Murshid asked Bella, whose full name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, her reason for applying for divorce.

The 25-year-old answered: "Tiada persefahaman (Irreconciable differences)."

The judge then pressed further and Bella teared up and replied: "Because my husband always cheats on me."

She also informed the court that she had proof in videos and photos of her husband's infidelity.

To another question, Bella said she and Aliff had been living separately for more than three months.

Prior to uttering the divorce proclamation, the judge asked the two to seek forgiveness from each other and reminded them not to badmouth the other in front of their son.

"From the day you are married, there must be flaws on each side. Do forgive each other and give your love to your child," the judge said.

Clad in a black short sleeve shirt and black pants, Aliff was recently embroiled in a scandal, where photos of him and other women have been circulating on social media.

The first time Aliff was hit with a cheating scandal with an actress, he had publicly apologised to Bella and she had forgiven him.

Bella filed for divorce on March 21.
