Shafie: No rush to fill 4,000 vacancies in civil service


Recently in parliament, Shafie said a state-initiated programme will be implemented to assist stateless children born in Sabah secure proper documents like birth certificates.

KOTA KINABALU: The state government will not rush into filling the remaining 4,000 vacancies in the civil service as it is prioritising critical areas in order to be more cost-efficient, says Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

The Sabah Chief Minister said there were presently 21,000 state public servants out of the 25,000 posts available.
