SEREMBAN (Bernama): Umno and Barisan Nasional MPs were the cause for the Federal Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2019 regarding Sabah and Sarawak failing to get two-thirds majority support in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (April 9), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic).
Anwar, who is Port Dickson MP, said the government needed 148 votes for two-thirds majority, but could only garner 138 votes after MPs from the opposition bloc abstained from voting on the bill.
