For teen curfew to work, Malaysia needs after-school activities too


HAVING a curfew is just one part of Iceland’s initiative to address the problem of social ills among teenagers in the country, said its senior policy adviser, US psychologist Harvey Milkman.

Milkman, whose study was intrumental in the Youth in Iceland programme, said after-school activities are a major part of the nation’s plan that has contributed to the decline of substance abuse and other social problems among Icelandic youth.
