Anwar: Let party leaders shout

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he will not stop party leaders who hit back at him, adding that it is for the disciplinary committee to decide if they want to take action.

"If the PKR leaders want to shout, let them shout. It is up to the disciplinary committee headed by Dr Syed Husin Ali to take action. As for the past, I will not ambil pusing (look back at it)," said Anwar.

He said this on Saturday (Jan 19) when asked if he would use any provision in the party constitution to silence PKR leaders who seem to hit out at him recently.

Anwar was speaking to the media after a proclamation ceremony of Kampung Kerinchi here.

He had come under fire recently from PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali who publicly requested him to reconsider the appointments to the party's central council.

Last Monday (Jan 14), PKR Wanita head Zuraida Kamaruddin penned an article in Utusan Malaysia, criticising PKR leaders who have sidelined the voices of the grassroots.
