Man attempts to jump off ledge at KLCC Suria Mall

PETALING JAYA: Several clips of a man attempting to jump off a ledge in a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur has been doing its rounds on social media.

The video clips, taken by several individuals in KLCC Suria Mall, started appearing on Facebook since 6pm on Saturday (Nov 24), saw a man in his 40s, standing on the ledge outside a bookstore on the fourth floor of the mall.

This caused shoppers stop and see the commotion.

A group then tried to coax the man into coming back in, but the man continued to stand on the ledge. Security personnel of the mall were seen asking people to stay away from the man, who is clad in a black polo tee and black pants.

The motive behind this incident is unclear.

Another video clip showed Fire and Rescue Department personnel gearing up to rescue the individual.
