PETALING JAYA: God is the only thing on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's mind the night before his wife faces several money laundering charges.
"Allah is the one who listens, no matter how soft the whisper from a sincere heart.
"So don't ever stop praying and continue holding on to your faith in God," he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Oct 3).
His wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) when she was being questioned at its headquarters in Putrajaya earlier today.
Najib on the other hand, had been questioned by Bukit Aman's Commercial Crime Investigation Department for three hours on the same day.
Meanwhile, Datin Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz, Rosmah's daughter from her previous marriage to Abdul Aziz Nong Chik, said that she would always pray for the best.
"Sympathy definitely exists, no matter what happened. May Allah make it easier," she posted on Instagram Wednesday night.
"At the end of the day, What's right is right, what's wrong is wrong – it's up to the courts to decide now," she posted.
In a not-so-subtle hashtag, Azrene also wrote: "It's what you prayed for but it still hurts all the same".
The message was first posted by her husband, celebrity chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob, on Instagram and shared by Azrene.
They got married in 2007 but the union apparently did not receive Rosmah's blessing.
On May 11, two days after Pakatan Harapan won the general election, both Azrene and Fazley posted details of their troubled relationship with Rosmah on the same social media platform.
