Bukit Aman's Zulkifli Abdullah is new anti-drugs agency chief

PORT KLANG: Top cop Comm Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah (pic) says he is honoured and touched to be appointed the new National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) director effective immediately.

The Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director said he had just received his appointment letter on Wednesday (Aug 15) morning.

"I received the letter this morning, but heard about it earlier through the grapevine.

"When I first learned about it, I was surprised and wondered: 'Why me?'.

"However, I realise that it is a huge honour to be given the responsibility of heading such an important agency," Zulkifli said during a press conference after attending the handing over of duties ceremony between outgoing Marine Police Commander Senior Asst Comm Datuk Abdul Rahim Abdullah and his successor Asst Comm Azmi Ibrahim.
