Isa Samad told to tender resignation from SPAD within a week

PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Isa Samad (pic) has been told to tender his resignation from his position as the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) chairman within a week, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke

"I hope that as a former Minister, he can do the honourable thing by resigning and taking the cue from Tan Shahrir Abdul Samad who resigned voluntarily as the Felda chairman," said Loke at a press conference on Wednesday (May 23).

This follows the announcement by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who said that SPAD will be abolished and that its duties will be carried out by the Transport Ministry.
