Group raises concerns over Lim’s appointment amidst trial


PETALING JAYA: An anti-graft watchdog is concerned that Lim Guan Eng has been sworn in as the Finance Minister despite still battling corruption charges in court.

The Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) said it is “troubled” that Lim has been appointed as a minister despite earlier statements by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that he could only be appointed if he were cleared of the charges.
