A 30-YEAR-OLD woman from Lijiang in Yunnan province, China, claimed to be “too beautiful to work” and chose to be a beggar instead, Sin Chew Daily reported.
She claimed to have worked as a waitress and cashier but was fired.
She said if she wrote on a board “I’m hungry, need 10 yuan for food”, maybe people will give her or maybe she can support herself by selling her body, but she would not do it.
Instead, she wrote: “I’m from Hunan, I’m a natural beauty, able-bodied, and healthy, and I choose to beg here instead of getting a job, thank you to the kind-hearted souls.”
After the photos went viral, netizens expressed pity but said that someone as young, able-bodied and presentable like her should get a job instead of panhandling on the streets.
> China Press reported that a 44-year-old therapist named Mary from Britain has a husband, a fiancé and two boyfriends.
After her divorce, she met her current 43-year-old husband, who supports polyamory (having more than one relationship).
She has a fiancé but because it is illegal in Britain to have more than one spouse, they will only have a wedding ceremony in May.
The three live together, and Mary also has two boyfriends – a 63-year-old and a 73-year-old who are nearby.
She believes that polyamory will be accepted by society in the future, like how homosexuality and transexuality are accepted.
> Several leaked photos showing South Korean R&B singer-songwriter Jo Hyun-ah of Urban Zakapa group and a scantily clad newcomer, Chaejin, fooling around have caused a stir.
According to China Press, the photos showed the 22-year-old Chaejin in something similar to underwear and wine-filled glasses on the table.
Both were on KBS’ reality show The Unit, in which renowned K-pop star Rain is also a mentor, with Jo, 28, as one of the mentors and Chaejin as one of the contestants.
Jo’s management company issued a statement clarifying that she was not dating Chaejin and were just drinking and playing games at a friend’s house.
Someone claiming to be a friend of both wrote anonymously on one forum stating that Chaejin was not in his underwear and that he had merely borrowed the shorts from a friend.
The shorts had rolled up, causing it to show like he was wearing briefs.
