KAJANG: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has questioned Lim Guan Eng's assertion that he does not know the Datuk Seri being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, saying that a photo of the Penang chief minister and the man would not exist if that was the case.
The MCA deputy president was referring to a photo that went viral recently of Lim and the Datuk Seri smiling widely in the back seat of a car.
Dr Wee added that Lim was missing the point when he revealed photos of the Datuk Seri's wife taken with Barisan Nasional leaders.
He said that the crux of the matter was the RM19mil allegedly received by the Datuk Seri to "help close" the MACC investigation on Penang's RM6.34bil undersea tunnel project.
"He is trying to confuse the people so that they don't understand what is going on,' said Dr Wee.
He said that the photos of the Datuk Seri's wife distributed by Lim in a press conference on Tuesday was a totally different scenario.
"Come on, the husband and wife should be separated (for this issue). Because of the husband, the wife is not allowed to take photos with someone else?" he asked.
