PETALING JAYA: A fire has broken out at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), according to national news agency Bernama.
Updated: HKL fire extinguished, medical services unaffected
Photos on Bernama’s Twitter account show plumes of black smoke coming from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) building in HKL, and a raging fire engulfing a section of the building.
Bernama reported that Fire and Rescue Department personnel are on the scene and hospital staff have evacuated patients through the emergency exits.
The fire broke out at 12.15pm and the Fire and Rescue Department was alerted at 12.30pm, the agency said.
