Police cooperating with US DEA in war on drugs

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police, in cooperation with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will preside over the international drug enforcement conference Far East Regional Working Group (IDEC-FERWG) meeting in a bid to fight international drug trafficking.

Bukit Aman narcotics criminal investigation department deputy director (intelligence/operations) Datuk Kang Chez Chiang said the two-day meeting starting Tuesday will have 78 representatives of drug control agencies from 17 countries across the Far East region attending.
