EPF building catches fire


PETALING JAYA: The EPF building on Jalan Gasing here caught fire Tuesday.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, no casualties have been reported so far and the blaze is now under control.

A department spokesman said that the fire started at about 11.50am and engulfed about 40% of the six-floor building in flames.

The blaze has caused bad traffic congestion on both the Federal Highway and Jalan Gasing.

Police have cordoned off the road leading to Jalan Gasing to assist firefighting efforts.
