Ramli Ibrahim to be given India’s prestigious Padma Shri award

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian classical dancer Datuk Ramli Ibrahim (pic) will be conferred one of India’s highest civilian awards to honour his distinguished service in the arts.

According to a statement by India’s Home Ministry, the Padma Awards are conferred in three categories, namely the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
