Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari

PETALING JAYA: A branch chairman from MIC has resigned from the party over allegations of seeking sexual favours from underage girls, claims Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari (pix).

The MIC treasurer-general said he came into possession of a voice recording of the man's attempts to convince a mother to allow her daughter to engage in sexual favours in return for job opportunities.

“What is frightening is that in his conversation, he admits to having sex with four young girls studying for SPM.

“He even boldly said that one of the victims had only recently turned 18. It is evident that he is a sexual predator and is targeting underage girls for his own pleasure,” Vell Paari said in a statement Tuesday.

He said the issue was personal to him, as he himself has a daughter.

“As a father to a young daughter, I cannot find it in me to forgive this guy who is preying on daughters of other fellow parents on the excuse that he was under the influence of alcohol or mentally unstable when he spoke to them.

“From the voice note that I have heard, it is very clear that he was not drunk and was in sound mind when talking to the mother of his next targeted victim.”

According to Vell Paari, the man's resignation from the party, is not a “get out of jail” card.

He said that the case will be forwarded to the Sentul district police for further investigation.

“I have informed the district police chief that on my return from an overseas trip, I intend to make a police report against this guy and provide the police with all the evidence, especially the video where he admitted what he has done.”

Vell Paari also called for members of the public who have heard the voice note to lodge a police report against the former branch chairman.

“They (underage girls) need to be rescued and this guy must be taken off the street.

“It’s clear that he is a compulsive sexual predator and is targeting young and desperate girls as his victims,” he said.
