THE thought of having to fork more money each month to pay for a house really scares me. I can barely survive on my current pay. The Government should know that with inflation, we need more money in order to buy a house. I hope the Government will give higher incentives to help me own a house in the Klang Valley.

I AM looking for a house within the RM200,000 range, so I can pay RM1,000 monthly instalments. Most houses within the area I am looking at are about RM350,000, which will see me paying about RM1,800 or more monthly. I inquired about a 1Malaysia People’s Housing (PR1MA) housing scheme but the apartment costs RM250,000.

CAN the Government regulate the profit margin of developers? I heard they are making over 40% profit margin. I am looking for a property costing between RM100,000 and RM250,000. However the property matching my wishlist, with CCTVs, proper lighting and road design, is priced at RM500,000 and above.

I AM fortunate I am earning in Singapore dollars and have saved money for the past 10 months to use as downpayment for a house. I am probably going for a project by the Federal or state government (under the Rumah Mampu Milik Johor scheme). I hope luck will be on my side and I will get a house this year or the next.

THE development taking place in Iskandar Malaysia has pushed up prices of residential properties in south Johor, making it difficult for an average wage earner like me to own a house. I have applied for the affordable housing scheme sometime ago but have yet to get any news on whether my application is approved or otherwise.

THE price of houses, even so called low-cost ones, is more than RM200,000 in Sabah and we cannot afford it so I wish the Government can build terrace-type houses that cost between RM120,000 and RM200,000. I am hoping for truly affordable houses for families earning less than RM4,000 a month, just like mine.
