Patek Philippe in KLCC is the meaning of opulence

For over 175 years, Genevan watchmaker Patek Philippe has stayed true to its original mission set by founders Antoine Norbert de Patek and Adrien Philippe of developing the world’s most exquisite timepieces.

In the early days of the company, the quality of the horological masterpieces created resulted in the acquisition of many loyal fans and clients of royal status, including the King Christian IX of Denmark, Sultan Hussein Kamel of Egypt, and Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom.

Even after ownership was transferred to the Stern family in 1932, Patek Philippe remains ahead of the curve when it comes to watchmaking technology and research into material sciences, continually looking to improve the accuracy and reliability of its timepieces. As a result of their exceptional know-how, Patek Philippe maintains a tradition of innovation hailed by an impressive repertoire of more than 100 patents.

As the last family-owned independent watch manufacturer in Geneva, Patek Philippe enjoys total creative freedom to entirely design, produce and assemble what experts agree to be the finest timepieces in the world – following in the vision of its founders.

September 2017 marks another milestone for the brand – specifically in the Asia Pacific region, in partnership with Cortina Watch.

Royal status notwithstanding, watch collectors and aficionados can now make their way to Patek Philippe’s newly relocated boutique at Suria KLCC shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which has re-opened after four months of refurbishment. It remains the only Patek Philippe boutique in the nation.

The design of Patek Philippe’s boutique in Suria KLCC reflects the rich heritage of the brand through several iconic elements which reinforces the corporate architectural quality. Now fronting the Ramlee entrance of Suria KLCC, an impressive 8.4 meter external façade boasts a completely new and unique design with the brand’s emblematic Calatrava cross etched in glass and painted in unique, textured gold. Specially developed in Paris, eight separate glass panels were intricately cut out before being delicately reassembled halfway across the world in Kuala Lumpur, and installed to frame the external façade in a seamless manner.

The new boutique is now an expansive 2,024 sqf – over 500 sqf larger than its previous location. The rejuvenated space is also elegantly furnished with precious woods, plush leather upholstery, custom made glass, Baccarat crystals and burnished brass finishing.

Apart from being visually captivating, a specially created fragrance called the “Grand Quai” – once only enjoyed in Patek Philippe Salons in Geneva, London and Paris – envelopes the Suria KLCC boutique with its distinctive scent to welcome clients in a warm and luxurious environment.

Since its founding in 1972, Cortina Watch committed to bringing the world's most regarded luxury timepieces to the region, carrying over 50 internationally renowned brands, including Patek Philippe.
