KUALA LUMPUR: The results of the victim identification will only be out at the earliest by 3.30pm today, said Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said discussions were held with the families and the hospital representatives.

“The next-of-kin of all the victims have handed over their DNA samples to be matched with the remains that are now in the post-mortem process carried out by the hospital,” he said outside the National Institute of Forensic Medicine at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) here.

He said most of the victims would be laid to rest at the Raudhatul Sakinah Muslim cemetery in Taman Selasi, Batu Caves, while the others would be buried according to the wishes of family members.
