Shake-up in the police force

KUALA LUMPUR: Four new directors will take charge of Bukit Aman in the latest round of transfers and promotions involving the top hierarchy of the police force.

Comm Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdul-lah is the new Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) director.

His previous post, that of Bukit Aman Management Department director, will be taken over by Comm Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab.

Comm Abdul Ghafar was the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd will move up to Bukit Aman as the new CID director.

Comm Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh has been moved to take charge of the Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID).

The new line-up was released by Bukit Aman Corporate Communi-cations chief Senior Asst Comm Datin Asmawati Ahmad in a statement.

Bukit Aman secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd is now the top cop in Johor.

Selangor will also have a new man at the helm in Datuk Mazlan Mansor, who is the present Sarawak police commissioner.

Taking charge of Sarawak is Bukit Aman KDNKA (general policing) deputy director DCP Datuk Amer Awal.

DCP Amer’s place will be taken over by Sarawak police deputy commissioner DCP Datuk Abd Aziz Yusof.

Bukit Aman NCID (forfeiture of property/legal/custody) deputy director Datuk Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim will move into the post vacated by DCP Abd Aziz.

Also promoted to acting DCP is Johor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat. He will take over from Mohd Dzuraidi.

Johor deputy police chief DCP Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad will move up to Bukit Aman as the new CID (investigation/legal) deputy director.

Elsewhere, Negri Sembilan will have a new police chief in DCP Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin.

Promoted to take over from Noor Azam as the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (standards compliance) deputy director is SAC Datuk Azhar Hamzah. He will be made Acting DCP.

Pahang CID chief SAC Datuk Raja Shahrom Raja Abdullah will move to Bukit Aman as its new CID (forensic/databank DNA/strategic planning) deputy director with the rank of Acting DCP.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nanyan will replace Raja Shahrom with the rank of Acting SAC.

Othman’s post will be taken over by the Inspector-General of Police secretariat superintendent (administration) Supt Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof. He will be an Acting ACP.
