Boat pilot drowns while saving two passengers

Search and rescue operations being conducted for the boat pilot at Putrajaya Lake on Saturday.

PUTRAJAYA: A boat pilot drowned after he tried to save two passengers who fell off a tube boat that capsized in Putrajaya Lake, Precint 4 here on Saturday.

Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Rosly Hassan said in a statement that the victim, Muhammad Fauzi Bagumbayan, 29, disappeared after he dove into the lake at about 12.45pm on Saturday.
