Navy cadet officer found murdered


Under arrest: Canadian police have arrested two men and are seeking two others for exporting controlled goods and technologies intended for space satellite use to China in violation of export and defense laws.

PETALING JAYA: A navy cadet officer from the Malaysian National Defence University (UPNM) was found murdered on Friday morning.

It is learnt that the body of the cadet was found with burn marks at an apartment in Sepang.

His death was confirmed by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein via Twitter.

"Very sad this morning to hear the news of the death of navy officer cadet Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain.

"I have ordered the armed forces and UPNM to conduct an urgent investigation. No one will be spared legal action if found guilty," he said.

According to sources, Sepang police have arrested 30 people at UPNM in Sungai Besi in its investigations.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Aziz Ali, however, declined to comment when contacted.
