PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has given the Government leave to appeal the Court of Appeal’s ruling that Section 3(3) of the Sedition Act is unconstitutional.
The three-man panel led by Chief Judge of Malaya Justice Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin granted leave after Sri Muda assemblyman Mat Shuhaimi Shafiei’s lawyers, led by Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, did not object to the legal questions the Government proposed be deliberated at the Federal Court.
