Police want 'Ipoh' high jinks kids to report

IPOH: Police want the group of youngsters who scaled a hill here and posed for photographs with the “Ipoh” signboard to report to the police station.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said they received a report about the incident from an Ipoh City Council officer early Sunday.

“We will investigate this mater under Section 336 of the Penal Code for endangering the safety of others," he said.

The culprits are liable to be jailed for three months or fined RM500 or both, he added.

ACP Sum urged those with information about the incident to help police in the investigations.

The hill overlooks the Kuala Kangsar road near the Gunung Lang area. The images of the youths climbing on the signboard went viral.
