SEPANG: A lorry driver who initially pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a hand grenade, pistol and 24 bullets, and having links to Islamic State did an about-turn when he was about to be sentenced.
Syed Amir Asyraf Syed Hamdan, 20, who pleaded guilty on Sept 23, claimed trial instead when the charges were read to him again by the Sessions Court interpreter yesterday.
