Biosphere Reserve pitch for Penang Hill

GEORGE TOWN: A major collaborative effort is underway to have Penang Hill declared a Unesco Biosphere Reserve.

It is being spearheaded by Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) and undertaken by Habitat Penang Hill, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), the Penang Forestry Department and the Wildlife and Parks Department.
