Crowd gathers outside MACC office

GEORGE TOWN: Although an official candelight vigil planned by Dapsy, the youth wing of DAP, was called off, a big crowd gathered outside the MACC office here chanting “Bebas Guan Eng”.

The people, mainly DAP supporters started shouting “Bebas” and “Hidup Guan Eng” joined by curious onlookers.

DAP officials confirmed that the supporters would wait outside the office until way past midnight.

Koid Teng Guan, former Sungai Pinang assemblyman, was leading the chanting.

The boisterous crowd could be heard shouting. As the night grew older, the crowd started swelling.
