SPAD wants e-hailing services to be legalised

PETALING JAYA: In what is a likely prelude to the legalisation of e-hailing services, the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) confirmed it has submitted a recommendation to the Government to regulate such services.

E-hailing services refer to the act of calling for privately-owned vehicles as an alternative to taxis using smartphone-based applications such as Uber and GrabCar.
