SUNGAI BESAR: The huge Barisan Nasional majority here shows that the people want a moderate government, said MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
"The voters voted for moderation unity and the Barisan spirit of consensus, to care for the welfare of all races," he told The Star.
Commenting on the huge swing back of Chinese voters in Sekinchan, Liow said it was a "true reflection" of what the community wants.
"It means voters here want stability, economic growth and development," he said.
It is estimated that more than 40% of Chinese voters in the constituency voted for Barisan candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi, a 30 percentage-point increase from GE 13.
