Please return my officers, says MACC deputy chief

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull (pic) has asked for the return of two officers transferred to the Prime Minister's Department.

"Please return both of my officers immediately. Take me as a replacement," the MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) said in a WhatsApp message to The Star.

He said he was ready to take the officers’ places as they were only carrying out his orders.

"They did what they did and acted based on my instructions," he said.

It is understood that Shukri is in the United States and expected to return to the country "soon".

MACC special operations director Datuk Bahri Mohd Zin and strategic communications director Datuk Rohaizad Yaakob were transferred to the Prime Minister’s Department with immediate effect earlier on Friday.
