PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association chief Mohd Ali Baharom has been detained in connection with allegations of inciting the Low Yat brawl.

Popularly known as Ali Tinju, Mohd Ali was seen in a video clip making a speech outside Low Yat Plaza on Sunday night before the situation turned ugly.

Mohd Ali was one of the organisers of the “butt exercise protest” outside the house of former Bar Council chairman Ambiga Sreenevasan following a Bersih rally in 2012.

Police confirmed the arrest was done by Bukit Aman.
