GEORGE TOWN: A lorry driver survived another attempt on his life after he was shot at in Brown Road here.
Two men on a motorcycle rode up to the 28-year-old driver's lorry and fired seven times with a pistol in the 3.30am incident on Friday.
The lorry driver was hit in the left arm and on both legs. He managed to drive to a shopping complex nearby and asked for help.
Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Abdul Rahim Hanafi said it was the second time the lorry driver was shot at.
"The victim was shot in Bayan Lepas in October last year," he said adding that police would look into all angles in both the cases.
Police recovered seven 9mm bullet shells from the scene. The lorry driver is warded at the Penang Hospital in stable condition.
