All SPM 9A scorers to get bursaries

PETALING JAYA: All students who scored 9A+ and above in the 2014 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) will receive bursaries from the Education Ministry.

The bursary will cover the students’ pre-university studies to be done locally before continuing with their first degree either locally or overseas.

The pre-university studies being offered are the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), Matriculation, Foundation, A-Levels and A-Levels and International Baccalaureate (IB).

The Education Ministry said in a statement that the bursary would be automatically offered to all students who scored 9A+ irrespective of ethnicity, race and family background and covers academic fees, cost of living and accommodation allowances.

Students can check their offers through the Education Ministry’s Bursary Online Application System at www.moe.gov.my from today (March 4) to June 30.

Students need to read and understand the requirements and update their information through the Bursary Online Application System.
