Four questioned over singer in handcuffs video

PETALING JAYA: Police have identified the policeman involved in the case of recording and spreading the video clip of a singer who was singing while being handcuffed in police custody.

Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said the police were identifying other officers and men involved in the case.

The investigation would be completed as soon as possible and presented to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action, he said in a statement.

He said an internal investigation in terms of misconduct and compliance of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was being carried out by the Department of Integrity and Standard Compliance (JIPS) of the Selangor Contingent of the Royal Malaysia Police.

The case was being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, he said.

Ampang Jaya district police chief Asst Comm Khairuldin Saad said four witnesses, including two policemen, gave statements in the case.
