Large sinkhole in Kota Damansara causing traffic congestion

PETALING JAYA: A large sinkhole measuring approximately 30 inches in diameter has appeared in Section 6, Kota Damansara, causing traffic congestion in the area.

Traffic on Monday afternoon was backed up towards the traffic lights on Persiaran Surian due to the sinkhole which appeared on the left-most lane, close to the turn-off to Persiaran Sungai Buloh.

Onlooker Aris Mokhtar described the sinkhole as “probably around 24 inches deep”.

“The roads in the area have been getting worse due to the increased number of heavy vehicles using the roads.

“I hope that the roads get fixed quickly and properly,” said Aris.

A smaller sinkhole was also seen beside the larger one.
