Court upholds death sentence of man who set wife, daughter ablaze


PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court here Wednesday upheld the conviction and death sentence of an ice seller for killing his wife and daughter, about 10 years ago, by splashing kerosene and setting them ablaze.

A five-member panel chaired by Federal Court judge Tan Sri Suriyadi Halim Omar also upheld the High Court decision to sentence P. Balan Subramaniam to 12 years jail for attempted murder of another daughter.
